About Us
Dear TEFListers,
There are lots of EFL Job Sites out there, but we saw a lot of room for improvement for teachers and employers. So many of the EFL sites online were so cluttered with ads and "buy this", making them difficult to use for teachers, and a big money pit for employers.
ESL job sites have been around since almost the beginning of the web. Why then, when we surveyed the territory 2009 (and to this day), was it so hard to do on EFL sites the same things people have been doing on social networking sites for years - put your profile out there, show a video of yourself, send instant messages to your contacts, search/share stuff really effectively, and, most important, have a permanent online address for yourself that you can share with your friends, co-workers, and potential business associates?
Those were the things we were after when we started building TEFList. Now it is turning into much more. All the jobs, everywhere, all the time. Profiles to advertise yourself (employer or teacher), videos to promote who you are, internal job emailing, use of Web 2.0 tools to get the jobs advertised - all over the internet.
We hope you will enjoy using TEFList as much as we are enjoying creating it. Be sure to share with us your suggestions for how to improve the site.
Happy Hunting!
